District Watch: Volleyball — Lady Zizzers Earn No. 1 Seed

The Lady Zizzers will enter the Class 4 District 6 Tournament as the No. 1 seed.

West Plains opens against eighth-seeded McDonald County on Tuesday, October 20, at Logan-Rogersville High School. After a regular season filled with wins, the Lady Zizzers have a district championship to pursue next.

West Plains Stands at 29–4–1

The Lady Zizzers finished the October 9–10 Ozark Grand Slam with two wins and three losses, bringing their season record to 29–4–1.

Friday brought straight-set victories over St. Francis Borgia and Greenwood, Arkansas. On Saturday, West Plains fell to Nixa, Lutheran St. Charles and Eureka.

One More Match Before Districts

West Plains travels to Carl Junction on Thursday, October 15, for its final regular-season varsity match. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Carl Junction is also in Class 4 District 6, making Thursday another meeting with a district opponent before tournament play begins.

Then the focus turns to McDonald County.

The top seed is something to celebrate. A district title is something still to earn—and the Lady Zizzers will have West Plains cheering them on.
