Another record-breaking night of football for the Zizzers, on the road as they faceoff against the Parkview Vikings, and Keegan Hoopes breaks 2 more Zizzer football records, as the Zizzers claim victory over the Vikings, 57 to 32.
Here’s how the game played out (taken from our live Facebook update posts)…
Jett (#39) returns the kickoff to the 40 yard line. Now let’s get to work boys! Rackley (#8) is mostly handing off to Hoopes with a few to Nichols, working all the way down field. Holding penalty called on the Zizzers, back to the 24. But Hoopes drives for the TD! Cressman’s kick misses the mark. Zizzers lead Parkview 6 to 0. And the Zizzers have drawn first blood.
Parkview answers quickly with a 98 yard kickoff return and 2 point conversion. Zizzers trail 8 to 6. 8:23 in the 1st quarter. Wow! That was a fast turnaround! Let’s go Zizzers!
Rackley to Hackworth (#87) for the first down. Then Rackley scrambles for 1 yard. Then consecutive handoffs to Hoopes for the drive and TD, and 2 point conversion! Zizzers are back on top! Leading Parkview 14 to 8. 4:50 in the 1st quarter.
Keegan Hoopes just broke the Zizzer record for TDs in one season (26) and will set the bar even higher as the game continues. He has 27 season TDs as of this moment. This makes his 49th career TD and he wants to give praise for his offensive line for making it possible. Way to go Zizzers!
Zizzer defense stops the Parkview drive. Zizzers take over. Rackley to Holloway (#33) for the first down. Now we’ll work on tiring out the defense with drives by Hoopes. Hoopes finds the gap and blasts to the 38. Holloway carries for 6. Hoopes for 3. Hoopes for the first down on the 12 yard line. Holloway takes it to the 5. Hoopes for the TD! 2 point conversion is stopped. But the Zizzers lead 20 to 8. 9:35 in the half.
Jett and Ary (#44) get the stop on the kickoff return. Parkview drives and scores after several downs. Zizzers lead 20 to 14. 6:38 in the half. Parkview tries an onside kick but Cornish gets it! Hoopes drives to the 24! Holloway gets caught behind the line. Hoopes drives for the TD and 2 point conversion. Zizzers lead 28 to 14. 5:36 in the half remaining.
Hoopes for the first down. On the 10. Rackley keeps the ball and grabs 5. Parkview stops the Zizzer drive. Parkview throws long and scores. Zizzers lead 50 to 32. 8:42 remains.
Zizzers return the kickoff but there are penalties on both sides. Hoopes drives to the 32. And eventually for the TD! Cressman’s kick is good! Zizzers lead 57 to 32.
Zizzers drive but fumble. Parkview recovers. 1:38 remaining. Zizzer defense holds the Vikings at 32 points. End of the game. Zizzers win again! 57 to 32 against Parkview. Hoopes broke 2 Zizzer records in one night! BOOM!
Parkview drives for several downs taking about 5 minutes and eventually scoring. 2 point conversion is stopped. Zizzers lead 28 to 20. 43 seconds remaining in the half.
Wheeler (#18) returns the kickoff to the 42. 36 seconds remaining in the half. Rackley keeps the ball and takes it out. Hoopes drives long to the 14. 12 seconds left. Rackley scrambles, fumbles,but Hoopes recovers! Parkview penalty.. Ball on the 2 yard line. 0 seconds left. Timeout Zizzers. Now timeout Parkview. Parkview timeout again.
There is literally zero seconds on the clock! But, Hoopes gets the TD! Rackley to Holloway for the 2 point conversion! Zizzers lead 36 to 20 at the half. WOW! What a drive for the Zizzers in 36 seconds!
Amazing! Jett grabs the interception on the first Parkview play in the 2nd half! Rackley to Hoopes for the long first down. Rackley to Randolph. Rackley keeps and grabs the first down on the 5. Rackley hands to Holloway for the TD! Cressman’s kick is good! Zizzers lead 43 to 20. That took 55 seconds!
The Vikings have possession again, but the Zizzer defense sacks the QB! 4th and 6 Parkview punts. Way to go Zizzer defense! Rackley to Nichols for 8. Rackley pitches to Hoopes. First down. Hoopes carries for the first down on the 7 yard line. Hoopes for the TD! Cressman’s kick is good! Zizzers lead 50 to 20.
Hoopes just broke the Zizzer record for TDs in one game. Hoopes now has 6. He’s looking for the record of rushing yards now. Way to go!

Zizzers drive, but get stopped. Parkview takes over on downs. McGinley (#6) almost grabs the interception. Zizzer defense sacks the QB! Zizzer defense stops Parkview! It’s Zizzer time now! Long pass to Holloway is good and pass interference is called, but revoked. End of the 3rd quarter. Zizzers lead 50 to 26.
Coming off of a tough loss against Kickapoo at home, the Zizzer boys were hungry for a win, and that’s what they got! And to top it off, Keegan Hoopes broke the record for most TDs in one season (now at 32), as well as most TDs in one game (7), as he rushed for 351 yards (1,768 in the season so far). A HUGE shout out to the Zizzer Offensive Line for paving the way for Keegan to do his thing!
