Lady Zizzers Outlast Carl Junction in Five-Set Battle to Capture District Crown

The deciding set went to West Plains—and so did the district championship.

Our Lady Zizzers defeated Carl Junction 3–2 Tuesday, October 27, winning the fifth set 15–13 to claim the Class 4 District 6 volleyball title at Logan-Rogersville High School.

FINAL: WEST PLAINS 3, CARL JUNCTION 2
25–21, 20–25, 25–14, 18–25, 15–13

West Plains took the opening set 25–21 before Carl Junction answered with a 25–20 win in the second.

The Lady Zizzers won the third 25–14, their largest margin of the match, to move within one set of the title. Carl Junction responded with a 25–18 fourth-set victory, leaving the championship to be settled in a fifth.

West Plains finished it there, taking the deciding set by two points.

The victory capped a district tournament run that began with a sweep of McDonald County and continued with a four-set semifinal win over Logan-Rogersville. The Lady Zizzers won nine of their 12 sets across those three matches to bring home the championship.

Congratulations to our Lady Zizzers and coaches on a district title worth celebrating, and to the families and fans cheering them on!
