Zizzer fans have four more opportunities to support West Plains at home before postseason play.
The closing stretch begins with Tuesday’s trip to Marshfield, followed by home matches against Waynesville, Hillcrest, Springfield Catholic and Carl Junction.
For a team that recently put together three straight road wins, these last matches offer a chance to build another strong stretch heading toward districts.

A Rolla Shutout, Then Two Tough Results
West Plains opened October with a 3–0 win at Rolla on October 5. That followed victories over Springfield Central and Bolivar, completing a three-match winning streak.
The Zizzers then fell 1–0 in overtime to Branson on October 6 and 4–1 at Trinity Academy on October 10.
The Rolla shutout remains a result worth celebrating. So do the close wins that preceded it. Those performances give West Plains something concrete to build on as the regular season winds down.
The Remaining Schedule
| Date | Opponent | Location |
|---|---|---|
| October 13 | Marshfield | Away |
| October 15 | Waynesville | Home |
| October 20 | Hillcrest | Home |
| October 22 | Springfield Catholic | Home |
| October 29 | Carl Junction | Home |
The Marshfield, Waynesville, Hillcrest and Springfield Catholic dates and locations agree on both schools’ MSHSAA schedules. West Plains’ MSHSAA schedule and MaxPreps agree on the October 29 home match against Carl Junction.
A Chance to Build Momentum at Home
Thursday’s Waynesville match starts the four-match home stretch.
The Zizzers have already shown they can win away from home, including the shutout at Rolla and the double-overtime victory at Bolivar. Now their own fans have several chances to get behind them before the postseason.
There is more soccer to play—and plenty of reason to come out and support this group.
