District Championship: LadyZizzers Fall To #1 State Ranked Marshfield
This year’s Lady Zizzers District run ends at the championship game facing off against state ranked #1 Marshfield for the third time this season. Each time the Lady Zizzers played the Lady Bluejays this season it was a battle, with the Zizzers coming up short (previous game was by 2 points!). The good news for next season is that Marshfield loses several of their starting seniors who contributed to the size differential. The bad news for next season, is the Lady Zizzers also lose several starting seniors. But on the upside, we should have future senior Wahome returning with some super talent from next year’s juniors in McWilliams and Green and a strong roster of solid supporting team mates from both junior and sophomore classes (Green’s younger sister Charli, plus Kimber Stuart showed a lot of hustle that caught my attention).
Both Zizzer boys and girls teams ended their District run facing off against the state ranked #1 team.
