Zizzers Defeat Parkview 42-12, Improve to 6-2
After a rough first half, the Zizzers revved their engines in the 2nd half to defeat Parkview 42-12, improving their season record to 6-2.
I don’t think anyone expected Parkview to win this week, given their 1-6 record coming in to the game. But at the end of the first half, the Vikings only trailed the Zizzers by 2 points (14-12 Zizzers). I don’t know about anyone else, but I fully expected the Zizzers to have 21 points or better by the first half. And I’m sure coach gave the boys an earful during halftime. But they came out ready to play – and scored 4 times – unanswered.
Game notes: Sophomore running back Brayden Lidgard scored his 20th rushing touchdown of the season. And junior Lane Jett who plays both offensively and defensively scored his first touchdown of the season.
